When Kelii's father was interested in doing something, he wanted not only to do it, but to have the training and experience to be able to teach it. And with almost everything he taught, Kelii was learning whatever it was as soon as he was big enough, strong enough, old enough, or responsible enough. This held true not only for the Martial Arts, but everything from rappelling, mountain biking, to firearm skills.

He became a First Aid/CPR Instructor in his teens, started working armed security when he was 18, and was licensed as a Private Investigator at 21 doing executive protection. Graduating from Marquette University with a degree in Criminal Justice, he was approved as a Firearms Certifier for the WI Department of Safety and Professional Services (training armed security and P.I.'s) through Northwest Tech College in Green Bay, and by the USCCA (United States Concealed Carry Association) as a Concealed Carry and Home Defense Instructor.
